Tune:  If you're Happy & You Know It

If you're a ghost and you know it just say boo, ("Boo")
If you're a ghost and you know it just say boo, ("Boo!")
If you're a ghost and you know it

If you're a cat and you know it say meow
If you're a skeleten and you know it shake your bones
If you're a bat and you know it flap your wings
If you're a vampire and you know it show your fangs
If you're a werewolf and you know it give a howl
If you're a mummy and you know it give a groan
If you're a witch and you know it give a shriek

. . . . . . Let kids think of more if they're not tired of it.

THREE BLACK CATS
(Tune:  Three blind mice)

Three black cats,
three black cats,
in black hats
in black hats
they all jumped into the halloween stew
to tease the ghosts and the goblins, too
have you ever seen such a hullaballew
as three black cats
three black cats.

FIVE LITTLE PUMPKINS

Five Little Pumpkins
sitting on a gate
the first one said, "Oh my it's getting late."
the second one said, "There are witches in the air."
the third one said, "But we don't care."
the fourth one said, "Let's run and run and run."
the fifth one said, "I'm ready for some fun."
When "oooooooh" went the wind
and out went the lights
and the five little pumpkins rolled out of sight!

13 Nights of Halloween
Tune:  "12 Days of Christmas"

On the first night of Halloween my goblin gave to me
A spooky owl in a gnarled tree.
On the second night of Halloween my goblin gave to me
two hairy toads and a spooky owl in a gnarled tree.
On the third night of Halloween my goblin gave to me
Three Jack-o-lanterns, two hairy toads and a spooky owl in a gnarled tree.
(continue)
Four cackling witches
Five pounds of worms
Six spiders spinning
Seven creeping lizards
Eight werewolves howling
Nine bats a flying
Ten skeletons rattling
Eleven black cats hissing
Twelve vampires nibbling
Thirteen ghosts a booing.

The Pumpkin In The Patch
Tune:  "Farmer In The Dell"

The pumpkin in the patch, the pumpkin in the patch,
Hi Ho on Halloween, the pumpkin in the patch.
The pumpkin calls a witch, the pumpkin calls a witch, Hi Ho on
Halloween, the pumpkin calls a witch (The pumpkin has now chosen a witch and the two walk around the circle, holding hands as the song continues)
The witch calls a bat, . . .Hi Ho on Halloween . . . .
The bat calls a ghost , . . .Hi Ho on Halloween . . .
The ghost scares us all (Ghost child says BOO!)
The ghost scares us all . . . Hi Ho on Halloween . . .
We all scare the ghost. (Everyone says boo to the ghost)
We all scare the ghost . . .Hi Ho on Halloween . . .

(May add other characters such as cat, goblin, skeleton, etc.)

Jack-o-Lantern

I am a pumpkin big and round (use arms to show size of pumpkin)
Once upon the time I grew on the ground (point to the ground)
Now I have a mouth two eyes, a nose (point to the features on your face)
What are they there for do you suppose? (right forefinger to forehead)
When I have a candle inside (hold up right forefinger)
Shining bright I'll be
a Jack-o-Lantern on Halloween night you'll see! (Thumbs in armpits bragging gesture)

Pumpkin, Pumpkin

Pumpkin, pumpkin
Sitting on a wall (have children sit down)
Pumpkin, pumpkin
tip and fall (have children tip over)
Pumpkin, pumpkin,
Rolling down the street (child rolls on floor)
Pumpkin, pumpkin,
Trick or treat!!  (children jump up to feet with arms in the air!)

Spider Hand prints.  Paint a child's hand black on white construction paper.  Then flip the child's hand around 180 degrees the other way and make a print.  Let dry and add googly eyes.  Cut out & hang on big spider web.
